Queenie takes Ohio.

Yes, that's right, my friends - I have ventured out of Manhattan's concrete womb to the greener pastures of the Midwest. Expect a full report later in the week - I'll be visiting The Chef's Garden, which provides vegetables to Charlie Trotter and Thomas Keller, among others, and also making at least one stop at a burger stand. I've also been promised a weenie roast, a Czech restaurant, and our homemade brioche is rising in its pans right now.

How much butter can we eat in one week? We'll let you know - right now, we're at two pounds. Come on, there are THREE of us.

If you will be anywhere near East Liverpool, OH, I highly recommend Adrian's http://www.adrians-restaurant.com/. Don't let its looks deceive you - a few years ago, on our tour of the Lincoln Highway, this rated our highest marks for overall meal AND best dessert from our whole trip. Remember to place your order for a slice of pie BEFORE you order your meal - the pies run out fast and are their specialty. All homemade ingredients - and DELICIOUS!!!

Also, if you like Fiestaware, the factory store is also in East Liverpool. [Technically it's across the river in WV, but who's counting??]

Enjoy your trip!
