Back in November, my brother and I went through a bunch of boxes at our mom's place and picked out the items we wanted to have with us in New York. Among the bits and pieces I found this picture from the summer of 1980.I'm about 20 months old, and already looking to get my groove on in the kitchen. Though, judging by the look on my face, I may have been "helping" without being asked - independence asserts itself early, folks.

Hmmm...smoked mussels. I haven't had those in ages. I have to see if FreshDirect carries them. I bet they'd be good in pasta with some tomatoes and garlic...
